Hearing loops are designed to improve communication access to individuals with hearing loss by transmitting sound through a magnetic field to hearing aids or cochlear implants. This reduces unwanted background noise, improving clarity and understanding.
At YWG, hearing loop systems are marked with the universal hearing loop sign and are found at all check-in counters, the information booth on the first floor, and valet desks. Compatible headsets for individuals without hearing aids are available at the Information Booth.
Anyone needing mobility or accessibility support should contact their airline at least 48 hours before their flight. YWG’s accessibility programs provide additional support for travellers but do not replace air carrier processes for accessibility .
